SOUTH AFRICA, A COUNTRY OF THREE CAPITALS AND FIVE BILLIONAIRES!

South Africa is the richest Country in Africa. It's the only African Country with alot of rich people. They're 37, 400 Millionaires, five Billionaires and 102 Centi Millionaires. Its GDP is at $373 Billion coupled with three Capital Cities. Pretoria, is the administrative Capital. This's where the Executive branch of Government is domiciled, including the President and Cabinet. The President's Office is located at Union Buildings. Cape Town, is the legislative Capital. This's where Parliament is located. Cape Town also hosts the National Council of Provinces. Bloemfontein, is the Judicial Capital. The Supreme Court of Appeal is based there. In 1910, a Union of South Africa was formed. This was a formation of four different Countries. Cape Colony, with its Capital at Cape Town. It was established by the Dutch East India Company in, 1652. It became a British Colony in, 1806. Natal, its Capital at Pietermaritzburg was established by the British in, 1843. Sugar Plantations were the major activities and Indian labourers were brought to work on Sugar Plantations by the British. Transvaal Colony, Capital at Pretoria. It was an Independent South African Republic by the Afrikaaners/ Boer settlement. In 1899-1902, a conflict between the British and Boers erupted, known as, the second Anglo-Boer War. Orange River Colony, Capital at Bloemfontein. Formerly the Independent Orange Free State, became a British Colony after the second Anglo-Boer War. The Union of South Africa was formed on 31st May, 1910. It was a self Governing Dominion within the British Empire. The four Colonies became one Country and a single Political Entity under the British Crown. In 1961, the Union of South Africa became a Republic. The unification promoted Industrialisation, Infrastructure Projects and Mining boosting the South African economy.
